Tante Mary, an Angel and a Hero, who fought her toughest battle right to the end for her family and never gave up, now that is true Heroism. She is an angel to me, and one of the most courageous persons I have ever known, I will truly miss her and will remember all the good times I had as a child on summer holidays at the farm with my cousins, Anna Marie, Johnny and Richard who I send my deepest sympathy to you all and your families. My Uncle John, who was just as courageous by being by her side through it all, trying his best to hold his head up for her and his children and grandchildren even though the grief and sorrow were pulling his head down, he struggled through it with great strength just like a hero as well. My deepest sympathy goes out to you also. You and Tante Mary were their for my parents and I when they lost their son, my brother and we will never forget that, this is what family does, they stick together through it all just like in marital vows, through the good times and the bad and in sickness and in health forever and ever. John and Mary were our neighbors for a short time on Elk St. I still have a picture of Mary spraying us kids with a garden hose on a hot summer day. They were great neighbors and friends. Please pass on my sincerest sympathies to them on the loss of Mary, wife and mother. Sincerely Case Hoffer

A very dear lady has entered the church triumphant. I will never forget Mary's kindness and her warm welcome when I came to St. John's Lutheran Church.
