Obituary of Bert McCallum

McCallum, Norbert "Bert" of Aylmer passed away at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Thursday, July 2, 2015 in his 92nd year. Beloved husband of Norma (Hepburn) McCallum. Dear father of Kenneth McCallum and wife Betty of St. Thomas, Shirley Bradley and husband Emerson of Bowmanville, David McCallum and wife Bonnie of R.R.1, Aylmer, Barbara McCallum of Bowmanville, Joanne Orton and husband David of Aylmer and Linda McCallum and husband Ken Summers of New Sarum. Also survived by grandchildren Chad(Melissa), Wade, Richard, David Michael(Amanda), Shawn, great grandchildren Liam, Rayanne and a number of nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brothers Jim, Delbert (Hi), Alvin (Tom), sisters Delia Young, Marjorie Blakley and Cecilia McCallum. Born in South Dorchester Twp. on February 12, 1924, son of the late James & Ida May (Hosner) McCallum. He owned and operated Bert's Sunoco and Auto Sales on Talbot Street West. Bert was an avid hunter and fisherman and a proud member and Keeper of the Aylmer Pheasant Club. Friends may call at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Friday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where the funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 5, 2015 at 11:00 am. Interment, Orwell Cemetery.
