I can honestly say I have been truely blessed to have a mom who has also been my best friend and a wonderful, loving example to us all. Although I am thankful for the many years we've had together, there is never enough time with someone as loving as her. I will miss her terribly and look forward to the day we will be re-united in heaven!

After knowing Cäcilia for 64 years, married to her for 601/2 years, she earned more and more of my respect. As the family grew, her workload increased, so did her unwavering love for her family. Her deep going religious believe, moral conviction and loving nature left everyone who got to know her a friend. Husband, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren benefited from her outgoing nature. Dearest " Cilia " You will always be in our loving memory.
Never to be forgotten by everyone who knew you. Her passing has left a deep void in my heart.

To Cacillia's family: We remember the kinship we felt and the kindness that you showed our family at the hospice. We will forever remember our lunches, hall conversations and the overnight "sleeping buddies". No matter what age, one deeply loved as Cacillia clearly was, it's a difficult loss to absorb. Our thoughts and prayers go with the whole family. Jane, Glen and The Roy family

Our sincere condolences to Gary and family. Cacilia was a special person whom always made everyone feel welcome when we visted all those years at the flying field in Camden East. Gary and Cacilia where founding members of the Kingston Ultralight Club and gracefully offered their property for the club's benefit where we flew for many years. Thanks to their efforts the club still enjoys use of the Camden East property as it's home base today. I remember many times visiting Gary and Cacilia and always felt welcome, often ending up seated at their kitchen table for coffee and cake. Cacilia always had a warm and affectionate manner, and we miss both Gary and Cacilia since they moved to Aylmer. We hope that you will be well Gary during these difficult times coming and we will visit you this summer. Your friends Adrian and Christa. May God bless you.

I remember meeting the whole Luckus Family back in the early 1970's when our family came to Ontario. We met through Hans Gelz. I'm sure you all remember that fellow. I was 14 and didn't much care about the friends my parents had. All I know is that I had to go along with them or be stuck out in the country with no where to go. We were all around the same age and we all got along well. I do remember your Mom making us feel very welcome and she always had the most delicious cake in the house. She was always a happy woman. I don't remember her being cross with anyone. Then the families lost touch for a number of years and next I remember your parents back in this area, finally settling in Aylmer and as members of the German Canadian Club. Now everyone had gotten a little older and greyer but Cacilia was still charming and friendly as ever, making one feel as part of her life with only a short separation between us. I'm so happy I got to see her at the Hospice, she was glad to see me and my Stepmother Karoline Muller. She apologized for being so tired, I can't imagin her pain. She spoke of being ready to go and meet up with her departed loved ones, saying, " there's a lot of people waiting for me". Her spirit will live on and she told me the girls know how to make an excellent Cheese Cake and they can show you how. I'm glad her suffering is over, but I will miss her and her beautiful smile. My condolences to the whole Luckus Family.

I remember the first time I meet my beautiful mother-in-law. She was visiting Roland and I came to his house to be introduced to her. She came up to me, threw her arms around me and gave me the biggest hug. From that day on our relationship grew to not only mother-in-law/daughter-in-law but the dearest of friends. I could to talk to her about anything and everything. She was my friend in whom I could share my heart. She loved her husband, children and grandchildren unconditionally. She accepted my children and grandchildren as her own. I could sit for hours listening to her stories of Germany and had the priviledge of taking a trip to Germany to see many of the places and meet the people she had told me about while sharing her memories.
Mom (as I always called her) had an unwavering faith in God and her Saviour Jesus Christ. We shared moments of prayer together and talked about the day we would both see Jesus. Mom's faith never faltered even through the days when the cancer took her strength. The last few days of her life she was surrounded by her husband, children and grandchildren - the ones she loved so dearly. She also held strong to her faith and called out to Jesus to take her home to heaven. She is now in heaven and does not struggle with the trials of this world. In the Bible in Proverbs 31 it describes the virtuous woman-who can find her? She is far more precious than jewels and her value above rubies and pearls. Her children rise up and call her blessed. This is a picture of Mom - Cacilia Luckas.
I started this tribute to Mom by talking about her hugs. When I first meet her she hugged me like I had known her all my life. A few days before she passed from this life to heaven she reached out from her bed and gave me a big hug. I will always be able to bring to my memory Mom's hugs, as I share with you I can feel her arms around me and I know you can too.
We as a family will miss you with all our heart but the memories of your love and hugs will comfort us in our time of sorrow.
I know she is safe in the arms of Jesus. He has welcomed her to her heavenly home. Jesus has spoken these words to Mom; "Well done thou good and faithful servant - enter into the rest of the Lord".
