Obituary of Roy Haldenby

Haldenby, L. Roy of Aylmer passed away with his family by his side at London Health Science Centre-Victoria Hospital on Sunday, March 1, 2015 in his 72nd year. Dear father of Jeffery and wife Ruth, Gary and wife Allison, Lisa Collard and husband Jason all of Aylmer, Roy and fianceeĢ Kathleen of London. Loving grandfather of Royale, Karen, Sheila, Haley, Olivia, Ethan, Aidan, Moira, Leah, Lauren and Sebastian. Great-grandfather of Emerson and Kenley. Loved brother of Barney (Tina), Gayle (Marlene) of Kincardine, and Chris Brandt of Cornwall. Also survived by his sisters-in-law Erlma Jean Haldenby of Kinlough and Margie Haldenby of Parry Sound. Predeceased by his sisters Peach Dahmer, Millie McCreight, Pat Marshall and his brothers; Fred, Glen and Victor Haldenby and brothers-in-law; John Brandt, Mel Dahmer and Wally Marshall and a sister-in-law Pearl Haldenby. Also survived by a number of nieces and nephews. Born in Walkerton Ontario on January 29, 1944, son of the late Roy and Hannah (Pettieplace) Haldenby. Roy was a banker and member of the Institute of Canadian Bankers. He joined the Bank of Montreal in 1962 and served for 45 years at several branches throughout Ontario. Roy was a member and Trustee of St. Paul's United Church, Aylmer. Friends may call at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held at St. Paul's United Church on Wednesday March 4, 2015 at 1:00 pm. Cremation will follow.
