Sorry to hear about your dad's passing.I don't know if you remember us but as kids we lived next door. I think we where around 14 when our family moved to the Mt Brydges.Even at that age we remember your dad as a very hard working man. Our deepest sympathy to your family's.

It was with a bit of sadness that I learned of the passing of my old tobacco boss Joe Prendergast. My sadness soon turned to gratitude and joy when I remembered that as man of faith Joe is now basking in the warmth of God's kingdom. It's been 30+ years since I left those fields but over the years whenever I was in Aylmer he would come up to me and say hello and he would even make a point of telling my Torontonian wife "that your husband is a nice guy and such a hard worker" (he may have been lying through his teeth but it sure worked for me). Dear Aunt Polly and family - Ray and I are so sorry to hear of the loss of Uncle Joe. I have so many wonderful memories of being in your family home, usually with me and Gin (Mary Jane) conjuring up some new plan for fun and excitement, and you and Uncle Joe giving us room to grow but providing guidance and direction to keep us on a safe path. I am sorry that I am not able to join you in person to honour and celebrate Uncle Joe's life, but wanted you to know the great influence and contributions he had to all of us who were part of his extended family. Sincerely Angela Uncle Joe was a kind and gentle man who provided great contributions to his family and to all of us who were part of us life. I am sorry that I can not be with your family in person to honour and celebrate his life, but I am there in spirit, and I am thankful to have had him in my life.
