Doan, Stanley T. at Dearness Home, London on Saturday, February 25, 2012. Stanley T. Doan of London in his 89th year. Beloved husband of the late Donna Jane Doan(1997). Dear father of Sharon Ward and her husband David of St.Thomas, Donna Lynn Alexander of London, Carolyn Macdonald of Aylmer and the late Karen Lacey. Loved by his grandchildren Heather Thompson and husband David, Wendy Saulesleja and husband Eric, Paul Lacey and wife Tracy, Stephanie Predhomme and husband Marc, Michelle Brockie and husband Kevin, Danielle Ward, Carrie Alexander, John Macdonald and Stacey Haggerty and husband Rod. Great Grandfather of Jeffery, Devon and Brooklyn Macdonald, Adam and Spencer Thompson, Mason and Maya Predhomme, Karen and Jillian Saulesleja, Mitchell, Brenna and Taryn Lacey and Callum Brockie and Garrett, Keira and Erynn Haggerty. Predeceased by a son-in-law Jack Macdonald and brothers Walter Doan and Gordon Doan. Born in Simcoe, Ontario on May 13, 1923, son of the late Russell and Eda (Talbot) Doan. Stan was a retired employee of the Ministry of Transportation and Communications and a Veteran of W.W. II. He served in the Tank Division of the British Columbia Dragoons. In 1965 he moved to Chatham from Aylmer and to London in 1982. He was a member of Westview Baptist Church in London. Friends may call at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer 2-4 and 7-9 p.m on Tuesday, March 6 where the funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 7 at 1:00pm. Interment, Aylmer Cemetery.
