Obituary of Mary White

White, Mary Ellen (Moore). Peacefully at home with her family on Monday August 19, 2013 . In her 89th year. Beloved wife of the late David White (1998). Loving mother of Nancy Chandler (Stuart) of Kitchener, David White (Arlene) of Calgary and John White (Debbie) of Union. Also survived by the grandchildren she loved so well, Michael White (Tamara), Kate Davies (Bud), Julia White, MacLain White, Madison White, Carrie Elliott (Rob), Susan White, Jennifer Head and Jacob Head. Great grandmother of Liam and Charlie White, Lucy Davies, Gordon, Thomas and Vivian Elliott. Predeceased by an infant daughter Dale (1947) and daughter Bonnie Head (2010) and sisters Beulah Brooks (2001) and Helen Stratton (2010). Born in Malahide Township, daughter of the late Garfield and Hazel (Bryce) Moore. A woman of many interests and committed to purpose in her life, Mom truly lived her values to be good and kind to others and to grow as many flowers as humanly possible. She made many, many friends in her life time and was never heard to disparage another soul. We will all miss her beautiful and kind spirit, and will strive to continue to make her proud of us going forward. Cremation has taken place. Join Mary's family for a celebration of her life on Saturday, September 28, 2013 from 1-3 pm at the Pleasant Valley Golf and Country Club, 46343 Talbot Line, R.R.# 3 St.Thomas. As expressions of sympathy donations to the Port Bruce Millennium Garden appreciated and may be arranged through H.A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer (519-773-8400). This was Mom's proudest achievement, to spearhead the creation of this lovely little garden for the village of Port Bruce in 2000, marking the turn of the 21st century, and to ensure it will always be cared for by the people of Port Bruce Mom's favourite quote: " I shall pass this way but once. Any good that I can do, or any kindness that I can show to any human being, let me do it now. Let me not defer nor neglect it, for I shall pass this way but once." Etienne de Grellet (1773 -1885) .
