I will never forget meeting Mary for the first time in 1979. She walked into her daughter, Nancy's house bursting with energy. Her attire consisted of snug jeans that she looked great wearing. Further observation saw that the car she drove was a white Trans Am. Not the normal for any Grandmother I knew. Even better she let me take the car for a drive in downtown Parry Sound (although I did have her two grand kids in the backseat) I felt on top of the world. My own brother wouldn't let me drive his Camaro around the block. At the time Mary barely knew me, except through Nancy, yet she trusted me driving her car, more importantly with her grand children in it.
That's just one of the many times Mary amazed me with her generous and sensitive spirit. Mary was an amazing woman and I know she will be greatly missed by those that knew and loved her. Until we meet again Mary.
