Dempsey, Ellery "El" After a courageous battle with cancer at his residence in Aylmer on Saturday, January 28, 2012 in his 81st year. Beloved husband of Agnes (Rudzki) Dempsey. Dear father of Debra Rombough(David) of Burlington, Sharon Dempsey of Stoney Creek, Janet Clarke(Matthew) of Exeter and Kevin Dempsey(Debbie) of RR 5, Aylmer. Loving grandfather of Allison(Shane), Meghan, Stacey(David), Ryan, Amanda, Shannon, Stephen, Michael, Ainslee and Brianna and great-grandfather of Adelaide. Predeceased by brothers George, Cecil and Harold Dempsey and a sister Mildred Wilkinson. Also survived by a number of nieces and nephews. Born in Kenmore Ontario on April 1, 1931 son of the late James and Rebecca (McShea) Dempsey. El owned and operated Dempsey Chrysler Jeep in Aylmer. He was a member of Malahide Masonic Lodge #140 and Col. Talbot Br.81 of the Royal Canadian Legion. Cremation has taken place. A service will be held at H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home on Wednesday February 1, 2012 at 11 am with visitation on Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Interment Aylmer Cemetery.
