Lynda has told me of Uncle Ellery's passing. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this time. I am on my way to Bangladesh but wanted to convey my condolences before leaving. One of my fondest memories is when I was about 10 years old we went to Hamilton for Christmas and I stayed with your family. I felt such warmth and love in the home that I have never forgotten it. Also Uncle Ellery and Aunt Agnes drove me to McMaster University for my first year and I fondly recall the two of them seating in the front seat holding hands. He was a big presence in my life. We were so saddened to hear the news of Uncle Ellery's passing. I will always cherish the childhood memories of time spent with Uncle Ellery and Aunt Agnes. As we were leaving our last family reunion, Uncle Ellery got up and gave me a big hug . . . and I left with tears in my eyes, somehow knowing that it may be his last. He was so very special! I was so sorry to hear of Uncle Ellery's passing. Our deepest sympathy to Aunt Agnes, Debbie, Sharon, Janet, Kevin and their families. One of my favorite childhood memories was one of the many, many times Mom announced that Uncle El and Aunt Agnes and the kids were on their way for a visit in the fancy bus! I asked Dad to help me move the swing in the backyard so that I could see the bus pull up from the backyard. And then I would swing for what seemed like hours with my eye on the street and I was always so ectatic when the bus pulled up and Uncle Ellery and family would pile out and we'd play outside until we were called in for supper. Nobody else we knew had relatives that came in a fancy bus. Uncle El and family were our celebrity relatives! So many fond memories! Love, Sylvia

Thinking of you. I was so happy to see ellery and Agnes at Madeira Beach last Feb. it had been many years since I last saw them. Bill and I regret that we can't make it to Uncle Ellery's funeral. He was a big brother to me and my brother's. He will be missed by all of us and our families.
