Obituary of Doris Holdsworth

Holdsworth, peacefully at her home on Monday June 25, 2007 after a long and courageous battle with pulmonary fibrosis. Doris Holdsworth (nee Smith) of Tillsonburg in her 90th year. Beloved wife of the late Wm. Bruce Holdsworth (1977). Loving mom and dearest friend of Nancilee Clausius and friend Archie Gilbert of Port Burwell and Bryan Holdsworth and friend Barb Long of Port Burwell. She will be sadly missed by numerous nieces and nephews. Dear sister-in-law to Helen Smith. Predeceased by brothers Russell, Beverly and George Smith. Born in Ingersoll on August 1, 1917, daughter of the late Lloyd and Mabel (Archer) Smith. Doris enjoyed her beloved cottage at Pt. Burwell and was a former member of the Pt.Burwell Legion, Br.# 524. She had also lived in Ingersoll for thirty two years. A private family service will be held at the Aylmer Baptist Church on Friday June 29, 2007 with Rev. Cam Watts officiating.
