Dear Marian and the entire extended Broer family; How saddened we were to hear of your loss; it all happened so quickly. And you, Marian, (with Dick) have had more than your share of losses! At this very sad time, we are so grateful for all that Dirk and his generation contributed to society. Thanks to Dirk and his peers, we have such a rich heritage, so much to remember, to be proud of , to be grateful for. Only a few years ago, Marguerite and I had stopped in at the Aylmer MacDonald's restaurant for breakfast on a Saturday morning before visiting my mom. Dick was having a coffee and came over for a cheerful chat. Marguerite and I also were touched by the depth of your condolences, Marian, when you and Dirk paid your respects when we lost our dear Mary Jo; and you had already suffered so much yourselves in the tragic deaths of Janet and her two children.
