Obituary of Alex Wood

Wood, Ezra Alexander “Alex” of Belmont passed away peacefully at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Saturday, June 1, 2024 in his 103^rd year. Beloved husband of the late Grace(Stevenson) Wood(2023). Dear father of Alan Wood(Gerri) of R. R. #5 Aylmer and David Wood(Joanne) of R. R. #1 Belmont. He will be missed by his step-grandchildren Shawn and Ashlyn. Survived by his brother George Wood(Carol) and sister-in-law Janet Wood. He will be missed by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his siblings Myrtle, Audrey, Stan, Hiel and Don. Born in Brantford, Ontario on October 16, 1921, son of the late Clayton and Emily Wood. Alex was a member of Faith Baptist-Eastwood Baptist Church in St. Thomas and he attended Springfield Baptist Church. He was a dedicated farmer and loved nothing more than spending time out in the field. The funeral service will be held at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Tuesday, June 4, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation one hour prior. Interment, Mapleton Cemetery.
