Obituary of Herm Siemens
SIEMENS, Herman “Herm” of Belmont was called to be with his Lord and Saviour on Sunday, April 2, 2023 at the age of 61 with his beloved wife of over 40 years, Betty, by his side. Dear father of Justin (Megan) Siemens and Janine (Brandon) Jorritsma. Cherished Papa of Andrew, Amelia, Julia, Kate, and Anna. He will also be greatly missed by his siblings George (Martha) Siemens, Katherine (Jake+) Friesen, Jack (Ruth) Siemens, Mary (Jim) Westover, Sarah (Pete) Sawatzky, and Henry (Susan) Siemens. Predeceased by parents Katharina and George Siemens and his sister Susan (John+) Buhler. Many nieces, nephews, and cousins will also miss him.
Born in Swift Current, Saskatchewan, the family soon moved to Manitoba and then Ontario. As a child who lived in Houghton for many years, Herm had many fond memories of walking to and spending time at the Sand Hills with his dog, Toby. He deeply loved his parents.
Herm was a talented autobody repair technician and truck and coach mechanic who was very committed to providing for and supporting his family. Herm was passionate about flying and spending time outdoors. He enjoyed fixing, building, and restoring cars and airplanes. Visitation is at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Wednesday, April 5 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. The funeral will be at Aylmer Christian Reformed Church on Thursday, April 6, 2023 at 11 a.m. Private interment, Aylmer Cemetery.
