Truly a shock considering how careful Elva had always been with her condition. We met over 30 years ago when she saw my white and turquoise Nash Metropolitan in the driveway and she knocked on my door to talk about it. We've been friends ever since, had our kids at almost the same times, and consoled each other on various life events. I'll miss chatting with her. Sincere sympathies to the whole family. We moved to Aylmer and onto Nova Scotia line during the beginning of Covid and it wasn’t easy meeting ppl but Dave and his beautiful wife use to pass my husband and I by while they were walking and they always stopped to share a smile and/or a friendly conversation and we appreciated it. We are so saddened to hear she has passed and send our deepest condolences to Dave and to their four legged children and to the rest of their family. Opulent blessings Anthony & Heather

I first met Elva when I was 13 yrs old, fresh off the boat from England in 1966 when my family emigrated to Canada. She was my first friend in Canada.She took me under her wing and helped me get used to a new country. School would have been so much harder without her. I have many happy memories of times she spent on trips around Ontario with me and my family. We were friends for many years and then as it happens in life we went our separate ways for long periods and then in the past few years we connected again which I am so happy about, but wish I had known how ill she was. I’ve been friends with Elva for around 30 years. We met in the early days of the World Wide Web, on the internet, due to our mutual love of cars. I met the Allen family in Niagara, Elva and a 10 year old Mike came to stay with us in England for two weeks, and Elva came to stay on her own a few years later. Happy memories which I will cherish forever. The thought of my friend Elva will always make me smile. I will miss her so much.
