Obituary of Marsha Geling

We are deeply saddened to announce that CST. Marsha Geling of the Aylmer Police Department lost her battle with cancer yesterday. She was an ever affectionate person who cared deeply about every individual she knew. A proud member and volunteer for many organizations, not limited just to Aylmer, Marsha was an involved member of many communities. One of Marsha’s greatest joys was her visits to Local Schools where she taught children how to be safe and to be good people in life and in the community. Additionally, she was the first female officer within the Aylmer service and served 28 years with the force. Marsha was a vibrant and positive woman, always putting others before herself regardless of the situation, often stating "It's all good" even in dire times. She had a simple promise to herself: to help people and better the world a little bit every day. Her actions through life speak volumes about her daily dedication to this promise. She is survived by a loving family including her husband Ron Kesteloot and their two sons Keegan and Cole. Loving daughter of Trudy (Schenk) Geling and the late Bernard Geling(1991). Dear sister of Gary Geling(Carrie), John Geling(Gail) and Melinda Timmins(Jim). Daughter-in-law of Julius and Mary Kesteloot. Sister-in-law of Linda Killough(Len). As well as a number of nieces and nephews. Marsha is also survived by a large extended family, and an even greater host of friends and colleagues. Marsha will be remembered dearly and we know that she will continue to affect people every day. Visitation will be held at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Sorrows Roman Catholic Church on Wednesday, November 27, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. followed by a Celebration of Marsha's Life at the German Canadian Club at 11:45 a.m. Cremation has taken place with family burial in the Queen of Peace Cemetery. Donations to the Aylmer Area Community Foundation or the L.H.S.C. Cancer Program would be appreciated. kebbelfuneralhome.com

"Ron, Keegan, Cole and extended family wish to thank everyone who came to express their thoughts and prayers through this difficult time, to the Aylmer Police Service and to all of the Doctors, Nurses and staff at the LHSC and Sakura House Hospice for the excellent care you gave Marsha."
