Obituary of Rosina Hendel

Hendel, Rosina of Aylmer passed away at Terrace Lodge on Sunday, February 3, 2019 in her 101st year. Beloved wife of the late Peter Hendel(1970). Dear mother of Peter G. Hendel(Rosemary) of R.R.#2 Aylmer and the late Rosina Tenhor(2000) and mother-in-law of Martin Tenhor of Aylmer. Loving grandmother of David Tenhor(Lisa), Linda Kalmikov(Rick), Lori Bartlett(Mark), Peter Hendel(Georgina).  Also survived by her great-grandchildren Stephanie, Craig(Kaela), Blair(Jaime-Lynn), Jessica, Michael, Ashley, Matthew, Nicholas and Nathan, great great grandmother of Brantley and several nieces, nephews and cousins.  Predeceased by three siblings.  Born in Burghalle, Romania on July 12, 1918, daughter of the late John and Rosina (Hendel) Ungar. Peter and Rosina moved from Kitchener and grew their first crop of tobacco in 1941.  Later they moved to Aylmer in 1949.  Rosina was a devoted member of the St. John’s Lutheran Church since it was built in Aylmer and was the oldest member of the German Canadian Club.  Friends may call at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Friday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.   The funeral service will be held at the St. John’s Lutheran Church, Aylmer on Saturday, February 9, 2019 at 11:00 am.  Interment, Aylmer Cemetery.   Donations to St. John’s Lutheran Church would be appreciated.  Share memories or condolences at kebbelfuneralhome.com
