I remember Tom from the arcade.
He had dated my mom way back in the day.
He always had my back and watched out for me when I was hanging out where I should not have been.
He was a kind soul
I will always remember that

Many great memories of hanging out with Tom back in the early 60's. He was a loyal and trusted friend. We shared many good times and laughs together. I will miss him and remember him always

My deepest sympathy to all of Toms family.
I met your Dad when I was 14, I am 63 now.
He was a very special dear friend, he watch out for me growing up in Tillsonburg gave me hell when I needed it or he didn’t approve of who I was dating lol. He introduced me to my first husband and he was best man at our wedding back than. I have some great pictures of him from the wedding.
I feel like I lost a part of me, it was weird I woke up Sunday morning feeling very depressed but didn’t know why same feeling on the Monday I found out Monday night after supper that he had passed on Sunday now I know why I was feeling so low he was trying to let me know.
I always sent your Dad a Tims card and scratch tickets every Xmas since he-moved to maple manor except this year I was moving to Woodstock from Brantford on Jan 3 and it was so crazy with moving and selling my condo last couple of months I was going to send it out this week. He probably wondered where his card was.
I can remember him and I sitting in the old IGA parking lot both of us belting out Elvis’s “I did it My Way” as we both were tuned to our own drum.
We were both free spirits. I will miss him dearly he was my best friend and I believe he felt the same way. It won’t be the same anymore when I come visit my brother he always stop in if he seen my car in the driveway every summer or I go track him down on his scooter.
RIP my dear friend I am sure I will see you one day again and I apologize for not attending the service tonight my health is not that great and I can’t drive at night otherwise I would have been there. Please feel free to contact me if any of you would like to.
With great sadness
Donna Turner/Greene

I just wanted to express my sincerely deep condolences to your family. My heart goes out to you all because I know what a huge loss to the world is Tom's passing. I've known him for close to 30yrs he was one of first people I met when I moved to Tillsonburg and helped me with learning English-language. Always positive and smiling no matter how bad things were going-that's the memory of Tom that I will keep in my heart. I'm passing everyone big hugs and know that many, many people are sharing in your love and grief for a great soul.

To Tom's family ,my heartfelt condolences. I have known Tom for many years from when he had the arcade on Brock street. Whenever i would see him we would always have a chat. The first thing he would say is How is your family? The Tom i knew was always a gentle. kind and caring man . After his stroke we would cross paths ,if near Tims i would refill his coffee for him, snd spend some time with my friend . Rest in peace Tom . God Bless.

So sorry to hear, my condolences to the family. Like the obituary says he had many of friends, I met Tom when I was a young man growing up, he was kinda like a big brother at times filling me in on challenges ahead. I ventured off out west to Alberta a few years later and we always kept in touch by letters, no texting back then !! They would be long letters with the most beautiful hand writing ever. He made a few road trips out west in his Buick ( old Faithful) and would spend time visiting for days sometimes weeks, but would eventually head back to Tillsonburg which we all know was his home !! TW Moss ,Rest In Peace my friend our memories will never be forgotten !! Your friend Ronnie Retread !!!

I knew Tom at Maple Manor. I used to bring my miniature schnauzer "Floyd" in for visits. Tom was usually at the front door to greet us, and always asked what was my dog's name, and gave him a nice pet. I always looked forward to seeing Tom.

I am the oldest grandchild of Gerry & May Hornby and the daughter of Connie Hornby-Sorko. Tom was a major part of my life and we spent a lot of time together. He was always a help to me and my mom at times when we needed somebody to help us the most. My mom loved Tom and he was a good friend to her in her last days on these earthly plains. My mom was housebound and Tom would make sure she got her groceries and took her out often. He and her mother May were the only saving grace for her prior to her death in 2002. WE went to many a Friday the 13th together in fact Tom took my daughter on her 16 bday which was Friday the 13 Port Dover Run and she is now 32. I will never forget his generosity, and kind heart. He was like a second father to me and I will remember him for "with very very fond memories."
It is with great sadness that I am writing this, I am sending my deepest condolences to his family for you have lost a gentle loving soul but now he is with the ANGELS ...... AND WEARING HIS ANGEL WINGS. REST IN PEACE ...... Tom Love Christine
