Obituary of Bob Meharg

It is with sad hearts that we announce the death of Bob Meharg. He will be greatly missed by his wife Kate Meharg and son Robert (Jocelyn), his sister Jackie Henzler and her family, Pam and Carl Thomas and several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his daughter Amanda Meharg, parents Robert and Olive Meharg. Bob had several jobs in the Aylmer Area, at Carnation Milk, as reporter for The Aylmer Express and St. Thomas Times Journal. He wrote a humour column enjoyed by many. Bob loved his family and music. He played guitar with several musicians in the area, in most recent years at Pinecroft with the Jammin In the Cabin Gang. Bob will be remembered by many for his humour and kind heart. Cremation has taken place. A family graveside service was held at the Queen of Peace Cemetery. There will be a celebration of Bob’s life at the Aylmer Legion, Saturday, December 2, 2017 from 1-3 p.m. Donations to the Cancer Society will be appreciated.
