Viola Mae McFarlane of Extendicare, Port Stanley and formerly of Orwell in her 91st year. Beloved wife of the late Donald McFarlane(1993). Dear mother of Donna Catt of RR 2, St. Thomas, Marjorie Silverthorn and husband Emery of RR 6, Tillsonburg, Isabel Bynsdorp and husband Bill of St. Thomas, Shirley Bynsdorp and husband John of St. Thomas, Patricia Thomson and husband Jim of RR 1, Belmont. Loving Nana of Nancy Luscombe(Jeff), Mary McDougall(Duff), Donald Catt(Diane), George Catt(Renée), Joyce Hussey(Will), Joe Silverthorn(Holly), Jim Silverthorn, Andrew Bynsdorp(Christy), Courtney Bynsdorp(Tara), Heather Yeaman(Jim), Anthony Bynsdorp, Carrie Shea(Steve), Carl Thomson(Carolyn). Also survived by brothers Ken Beer, John Beer(Dolores), Charlie Beer(Ruth Ann), a sister Katherine Brandeau, 20 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a son-in-law Floyd Catt, a grandson Neil Silverthorn, brothers Lorne, Cecil and Glenn Beer, sisters Florence House, Gladys Barrett and Ruth Elliott. Born in Fingal Ontario on June 11, 1921 daughter of the late George and Elizabeth Beer. Viola lived on the family farm at Orwell for over 70 years. She was a member of St. Paul's United Church, Aylmer. Friends may call at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Monday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where the funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Tuesday, August 30, 2011 at 11:00 am. Interment, Orwell Cemetery. Rev.
