Obituary of Bob Brooks

Brooks, peacefully at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Wednesday July 27, 2011."Bob" Robert Leonard Brooks of Aylmer in his 83rd year. Beloved husband for 53 years of Nora (VanVelzer) Brooks. Dear father of Cathy Brooks of Aylmer, Marilyn Brooks and fiance Mike Green of St.Thomas and Rob Brooks and wife Cheryl of Aylmer. Loved by his grandchildren Katelyn, Taylor and Jazmine. Brother of Clare Brooks, Joan Greenside and husband Ted and David Brooks and friend Diann Luske. Also survived by a number of nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a sister Betty Paul. Born January 1, 1929 son of the late Clarence and Ona (Pyman) Brooks. Bob owned and operated R.L. (Bob) Brooks and Son Oil Burner Service for 41 years. He was a former member of The Aylmer Fire Department and the East Elgin Sportsman Club. Friends may call at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Friday 2-4 & 7-9pm where the funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 30, 2011 at 11:00 am. Interment, Aylmer Cemetery. Elder Cheryl Brooks, officiating.
