Obituary of Matthew Martindale

Matthew "Matt" Martindale was a loving, generous, adventuresome man whose young life came to an end April 2nd 2011 at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital. Matt touched the lives and hearts of many whose paths he crossed, whether in friendship or in the business of flight. Matt began his too brief life journey on February 6th of 1976, in Aylmer Ontario as the son of Sharon (Vandendriessche) Martindale and the late Robert "Bob" Martindale. Matt was drawn to the family businesses of Temp Control Foam Company and Supermarine Aircraft Inc. right after his graduation from East Elgin Secondary School. Matt worked hard as the Vice President of Supermarine Aircraft Inc. protecting our forests. Matt leaves behind his most beloved children, Robert "Robbie" Martindale and Danika Martindale; daddy will always love you both. His mother Sharon and her partner Roy, his sister Liska her husband Dave DuBrule, grandparents, many aunts, uncles and cousins. Visitation will be held at Kebbels Funeral Home in Aylmer on Wednesday April 6th from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. and from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. our family invites you to share with us in a celebration of Matts' life on Thursday April 7th at 1:00 p.m. at Kebbels funeral home, interment to follow directly after the service at Aylmer Cemetery. Donations in honour of Matt's memory can be made to: London Health Science Centre-Neurosurgical Department or East Elgin Secondary School-Athletic Department.
