Stella Isabel Chalk (also know as my Grandma) is a very special lady. She is the type of person you would love to meet up with. She has 98 years of knowledge and has watched the world grow around her. Through all these changes though, she has always stayed the same loving, caring, and witty person that we know. Her door is always open to her friends and family. As soon as you walk through her screen door you feel right at home. Even the squirrels and blue jays love to visit Grandma on her porch! She always makes you laugh even when it may be one of those rainy sad days. We grew up with Grandma. Whether it was supervising our "Barbie Adventures" to sharing in all our big steps in life. I will miss Grandma so much and how she would say "Is that my Rachel, my dear sweet Rachel" whenever I came for a visit. Even though we can't physically see Grandma anymore, she will always be with us in all the adventures to come. Love you Grandma xoxox

We remember Stella fondly as "Aunt Stella" who took care of us at our family cottage when we were just little kids. She was such a warm and special lady who will be missed by both of our families. We remember the many Christmas celebrations at her home in Aylmer and the exchange of gifts with her and Ron & Joyce. She opened up her home to me (Rick H) when I needed a place to stay one summer when I taught summer school in London. She made me feel special and took care of me like she was my mother. We love you ............Rick, Marjory, Donna & Rick and families.

So many happy stories I could telll about Stella and Wilf Chalk-it seem like on Saturdays it first off in the morn visiting Ross Munn at his store for some treats and chat, rush home then it was off to library not just get a book but to sit and chat with Stella and Eleanor Givens. Of course since the Chalk Family lived close to my late parents house sometimes during week if had a holiday from school it be to pop in at Chalk Family house for a chat, see what David and Wilf were up to. She was not just a friend to everyone but like another grandmother. THANK YOU LORD for giving us Stella Chalk and rest of the family.

Dear Friends My deepest sympathy goes out to you. I remember when she work MANY years for the library. I'd often go on a Sat afternoon not just get books but to chat with your mum and the late Eleanor Givens. Plus MANY times I drop in to see her and your late father at the house on St.Andrew Street. There are so many memories I could share, she was a marvelous kind, sweet and wonderful person and will be missed by all, but shes in heaven now with the Lord and with your dad. I wish I could be there for the funeral but I am on the east coast. May God Bless you all. Stella Chalk was LOVED by all. Don Breen

Grandma, I am so glad we were able to send so many cards to each other over the years. It was our own special way of keeping touch. You will be missed by us all, especially Steve. "See you when we get there" oxoxox
