Skaftfeld, with his family by his side at his residence on Monday, June 14, 2010. Glenwood Lyall "Glen" Skaftfeld of Aylmer in his 85th year. Beloved husband Shirley (House) Skaftfeld. Dear father of Glenann Vincent of Oakville, Geoffrey Skaftfeld and wife Karen of Welland. Father-in-law of George Vincent of Oakville. Loving grandfather of Danielle and Kaitlyn Vincent, Kristin(Nolan) and Rebecca Skaftfeld. Also survived by a sister Alice Veenis and a number of nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a brother Clare Skaftfeld and sisters Beth Houston and Phyllis Stewart. Born in Hazenmore Saskatchewan on August 7, 1925 son of the late Siguard and Ellen (Jordan) Skaftfeld. Glen was a Police Instructor for the RCMP and at the Aylmer Police College for 23 years. He was a member of St. Paul's United Church, the Canadian Legion RCMP Veterans Assoc., the Aylmer Optimist Club, Col Talbot Branch #81 of the Royal Canadian Legion and Malahide Masonic Lodge #140. Glen served on Aylmer Town Council from 1968-72. He served in the WWII from 1944-45 in the R.C.N.V.R. Friends may call at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Wednesday 7-9 & Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Legion Service at the funeral home on Thursday at 6:45 p.m. The funeral service will be held at St. Paul's United Church, Aylmer on Friday, June 18, 2010 at 1:00 pm. Interment, Aylmer Cemetery. Rev.
