Working with John off and on the last 4 years at the cab stand has had it moments. John could definetly be a "grumpy" old man,,, but under that rough exterior was a heart of gold, that could shine through when necessary.John was always at me for what I did for my family, mainly the grandson,, yet I would remind him that his kids were all grown up,, and he still helped them, this would bring a smile to his face, and end to the conversation til next time one of us would do something for family, then we'd be debating again who did more?? he or I, I will miss our DEBATES very much, I have no one to have a great arguement with any more.and NO I don't want volunteers to take over this job. good bye "grumpy" , I will miss you, and our "chats" and "debates" was fun knowing you my FRIEND,,, Debbie

The Longe and extended family, Although I never met John I have heard many good things about him from his wife, children and grandchildren. The stories they told were of a man who had will and spunk right till the end. Remember the good times you shared with him and rejoice in the fact that he helped to mold each and every one of you into the people you are today. My deepest sympathies to the family at this time. Courtney and Tony Heffren
