Dear Susan and Family Elgin and I worked together many years ago at London Public Library in the old Arts and Sciences Dept. I was shocked to hear today that he had passed away. We had many good times at LPL, and we did meet with both of you after you moved to St Thomas area. He was always so full of fun and smiles. This will be a terrible time for you and your family Please accept my sincere condolences Cheryl Froud

Very sorry to hear about the passing of Elgin. I have alot of memories of the old days down at camp and sitting around the campfire with Elgin sitting in his "own" chair. The stories he would tell!! Iremember the kids and Susan as well and the visits. He'll be missed. Too young to pass away. Take care all of you, and my condolences to you all.

Elgin is remembered by me as the librarian who brought a high level of county library service to Elgin County. However he did it, his skills brought Elgin County Library to prominence a legacy to be proud of. His sense of humour, his love of political analysis and his rural knowledge all led to his success. I enjoyed my contacts with Elgin throughout the Lake Erie Regional Library System back in the '80s.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the Wells Family. Even though it's been a long time since I've seen you all I will have great memories of sitting at the camp fire down at the old Broken Wheel Trail Riders Camp and the stories and jokes told at the fire by Elgin.
