Obituary of Ruth Baxter

Baxter, peacefully with her family by her side at her residence on Thursday, January 21, 2010. Ruth Patricia Baxter of Terrace Lodge, Aylmer in her 96th year. Cherished wife of the late Stephen Ray Baxter(1987). Dear mother of David (Johanna) Baxter of R.R.2, Aylmer, Barbara (Lloyd) McQuiggan of Calton, Carolyn (Ed) McLachlan of St. Thomas and Peter (Peggy) Baxter of Pt. Dover. Loving grandmother of Steve(Emmy), Mike(Ingrid), Phil(Lisa), Mark, Paul(Julia) and Pat(Peggy) Baxter, Tim McQuiggan, Melanie(Jeff) Smith, Chris (Lisa) McQuiggan, Jim and Ed McLachlan, Amber(Murray) McKnight, Michael Baxter, Cheryl(Jean-Francois) Moreau. Also survived by 24 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren, a number of nieces and nephews and cousins in England. Predeceased by an infant son Stephen(1950), a great granddaughter Rachel McQuiggan(1999) and brothers Charlie Phillips(2009) and Graham "Bud" Phillips(1992). Born in London England on February 5, 1914 daughter of the late David and Martha (Watts) Phillips. She was a resident of Calton for many years and a member of the Calton Baptist Church for 82 years. Friends may call at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where the funeral service will be held on Monday, January 25, 2010 at 11:00 am. Interment, Calton Cemetery.
