Obituary of Helen Sweetman

Sweetman, peacefully at St.Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Thursday May 28, 2009. E. Helen Sweetman (nee Whitcroft) of Dutton. Beloved wife of Murray for 57 years. Loving and proud Mom of Charles of Toronto. Dear sister of Duane and wife June, Shirley Sanderson and husband George, Percy and wife Margaret and the late Leroy and Ron. Sister-in-law of Rosie amd Marie. She will be fondly remembered by her nieces and nephews, the four "grandkids" on Leitch Street, extended family and her many friends. A heart felt thanks to our friend Mary Lou Mantle for her love and constant personal care. Born in Malahide Township on July 25, 1933, daughter of the Charles and Irene (Welter) Whitcroft. Helen was a lifelong and active member of Malahide United Church, Dunboyne and St.John's United Church, Dutton. She was a Past Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star, Adah Chapter 276. She gave untiring service to her communities throughout her life. Friends may call at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where the funeral service will be held on Monday June 1, at 11:00 am. Rev Diane Macpherson and Rev. Dr. Jean Hunnisett, officiating. Members of the Order of the Eastern Star will conduct a memorial service 6:45 pm Sunday.
