To Irene and family. I too worked with Ward at Otter Dorchester Insurance Co. many years ago. He was a well respected and loved man and a pleasure to work with. Like Marlene, I remember the Christmas parties we had and how much fun they were. Jim and I continued our friendship with Ward and Irene after he retired from Otter Dorchester and as a couple continued to do our income tax returns.. to date. We grew to love and admire both Irene and Ward. Our sincere condolences to the family. I know he will be truly missed by so many. We that had the opportunity to get to know, Ward, are truly blessed.

Dear Irene & Family I also had the pleasure and honor of working with Mr Dickhout at the Otter Dorchester Insurance Company. He was a great man who loved his family very much and spoke of them with great pride. I do remember our Christmas dances where you, Irene, would laugh at my slippers I wore to dance in & said you wished you had brought some also. They where very special times we all spent together & I am so glad to have had the opportunity to have been part of his life. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this time of sorrow.

Dear Irene and family: I had the pleasure of working with Ward at the Otter Dorchester office, and I always thought that he was the kindest man, and a true definition of 'gentleman.' He always spoke with such pride of his family and I know he will be truly missed by all that knew him. I fondly remember a Christmas surprise that we planned for Ward in the Norwich office. We waited until he left his office for a meeting and we snuck in and adorned his office plant with Xmas decorations. We heard a roaring laugh when he came back and that memory has always stuck with me. We were all extended family in that office and it is a time that I will always treasure. I will always remember him with a big beaming smile. Please accept my deepest condolences.

To Mr. Dickout's family I worked with Mr. Dickout in my Otter Dorchester days. I really enjoyed his kind and gentle manner. I remember Mr. Dickout speaking of his wife Irene and his children with great pride. Wait a minute, I can see in my mind him walking through the office with I believe a chocolate bar in hand. With deepest sympathy. Christine Avey

I'm very sorry to hear this. Ward Dickhout was a fine person ... a gentle man. Please accept my sincere condolence. I don't know his family well but I'm sure he will be missed and those close to him will carry their love in their hearts as a way for him to live on. I hope you can all treasure the memories of a man who cared and continued to care through troubles and difficulties as much as through the easy times. May his memory give you happiness through future celebration of his good life.
