Sorry for the family loose of Birdie. She was a very distant cousin to me and I met her once many years ago. I talked with Kathryn, on the phone, back in 2008. We have visited Alymer many years ago and drove down Caverly Ave., to Birdie’s home and met one of her sons from western Canada. Genealogy is my hobby and sorting out Birdie’s father, John Sanford Caverly, was a challenge since it appears he was married 3 times resulting in possibly 8 children. Dale & Paul Caverly Brampton, ON

In the early 70's, your mother became my tutor for both reading and math when I was in grade 1,2 &3. I think of her often when I sit down to enjoy a good book. I especially enjoyed going to your home on Blackwell, playing with the monkey was always such a special treat. I am still facinated by monkeys and books, all of which I attribute to her. Such an amazing woman who I loved visiting as I grew up before she moved. She has a very special place in my heart.

Mary Lou, Kathryn, John and Doug my deepest sympathies at the passing of Birdie. While I was her aunt we grew up together as sisters and shared many childhood memories. Later when Birdie moved back to Aylmer we had many happy times attending yard sales. I miss her dearly.

I would like to send my condolences to Mary Lou, Kate, John and Doug. I have too many fond memories to name them all, but I have always remembered Birdie's little money she had when I was young. She was a large part of my childhood and will always have a piece of my heart. I'm sure Birdie is having a reunion in heaven with my parents and all the other drum corps parents who have passed on.
