Schaper, Henry at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Tuesday, December 9, 2008. Rev. Henry Schaper of Springfield in his 76th year. Beloved husband of Kathleen (Dougherty) Schaper. Dear father of William Schaper and wife Deborah and Jonathan Schaper and wife Colleen. Loving grandfather of India Cassidy Schaper. Predeceased by his brother Claus Schaper. Born in Marburg Germany on October 6, 1933 son of the late Dr. Wilhelm and Erna (Wilken) Schaper. Henry served as pastor of St. John's Lutheran Church, Aylmer for 25 years. In retirement he served as pastor of St. Ansgar Lutheran Church, London and St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Leamington. Friends may call at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where the funeral service will be held on Friday, December 12, 2008 at 11:00 am. Interment, Aylmer Cemetery.
