Obituary of Verna Millard

Millard, at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on September 26, 2008. Verna June Millard of Aylmer in her 90 th year. Beloved wife of the late John Thomas (Jack) Millard,. Dear mother of Sandra Magee and her husband John of Aylmer and Patricia Millard of Aylmer. Loved by her grandchildren Shaunna Magee and husband Tom of London, Angela (Magee) Esper of Aylmer and D'Arcy Magee and wife Marla of St.Thomas. Great grandmother of Michael Magee, Ashley (Groves) Magee, Jennifer Magee and Jorja Esper. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Predeceased by sisters Mrs Harry (Louise) Sandford, Mrs Jim (Coral) Mastine, Mrs Woodrow (Doris) Taylor and brothers Gilbert Lightfoot and Bruce Lightfoot. Born in Toronto Ontario, on June 17, 1919, the daughter of the late Arthur and Phyllis (Huston) Lightfoot. Verna and Jack moved to Aylmer in 1942 from Toronto to take over the family business (Millard's Sport Shop). She attended the Aylmer Evangelical Missionary Church. In Verna's life family always came first. She enjoyed baking for her family, gardening and in her younger years she enjoyed camping and boating. Verna loved her cats and dogs. Friends may call at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 pm where the funeral service will be held on Monday, September 29, 2008 at 11:00 am. Rev Brian Morris officiating.
