EDNA CARTER EDNA CARTER It is with sad hearts that the family announces the passing of Edna Carter, of Aylmer in her 88th year. On Wednesday, August 27, 2008, at the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital. Born January 10, 1921 near Lyons Ontario, she is the loving mother of one daughter, Arlene and her husband Gil Drees of Kitchener. Proud and caring grandmother of two grandsons Alan and Christopher Drees, both of Kitchener. Also surviving are sisters, Evelyn Holditch, of Tillsonburg, Vera Gaudin of Flescherton, a brother Harold and friend Norma Horath of Eden, a sister-in-law Betty Rodgers of Port Stanley and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her loving husband A.J., (August, 2002). Also predeceased by a sister Lela and husband Charles Smith, a sister Inez and husband Gordon Jones, a brother Marvin and wife Sarah, brother Howard, and Alfred Rodgers, and a brother-in-law Douane Holditch. The Family requests donations may be made to either the Diabetes Association; The Heart and Stroke Foundation, or the Alzheimer's Society. Family and Friends are invited to share their memories of Edna with her Family, at the H.A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer. Visitation will be Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Personal condolences can be made at kebbelfuneralhome.com. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, August, 30th, 2008 at 1:30 p.m. Interment will be in the Carter Family Plot in Aylmer Cemetery.
