Obituary of Tress Caverly

Caverly, Theresa "Tress" of RR5, Aylmer passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, June 9, 2015. She was 100 years old. Tress was the c-founder and hostess of the Green Frog Tea Room on Rogers Road. Beloved wife of the late David Caverly(1991). Dear mother of Brenda Smith(Paul). Loving grandmother of Chad Smith, Sarah Thomas(Aaron) and Kimberley Kuchma(Mark). Proud great-grandma of Bryce, Jordyn and Trevor. Tress is survived by her sister Doris Hollingworth and a number of nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a sister Phyllis Bjork and a brother Gordon Johnston. Born in Palgrave, Ontario on November 24, 1914, daughter of the late James Vine and Elizabeth (McCauley) Johnston. She was a member of Trinity Anglican Church and a founding member of Heritage Aylmer. Tress was a member of the 1935 Canadian Womens Baseball Team. Friends may call at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where the funeral service will be held on Friday, June 12, 2015 at 2:30 pm. Interment, Aylmer Cemetery. A celebration of life will follow at Pinecroft. Donations to the Trinity Anglican Church or the BAD(Belmont Aylmer Dorchester) Girls Hockey would be appreciated.
