Obituary of Perry Meunier
Meunier, Perry left us unexpectedly the same way he came into the world, with his twin brother Paul by his side, at Perry's Home away from Home at Long Point Ontario on Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at the age of 47.
In spite of his untimely and unexpected departure, Perry left us exactly how he would have wanted. Only a few days prior, he was traveling and celebrating with Friends and some Family at a chalet near Collingwood, flying high one last time, this time flying over Georgian Bay's Blue Mountains.
Perry is survived, and will be missed, by his Father, Rene Meunier of London and St. Thomas; love of his life Aida Diodos of London; Surrogate Father and Friend to Cherry Benedicta(Rob); beloved siblings: Twin Brother Paul Meunier of Long Point and London; Two sisters Dolores Weaver (Meunier) and Valerie Walker (Meunier) of Port Stanley; and his oldest Brother Wayne Meunier of London. Perry will also be greatly missed by his nephews (Cory, Jordan, Shawn and Derek), nieces Kristen and Amanda , and countless Friends. He is predeceased by his Mother Lois (Clarke) Meunier and nephew Jamie Weaver and known uncle to Valerie and Mathew.
Perry never let himself be defined by his permanent injuries suffered earlier in life. With the support and encouragement of his Mother (and family), he overcame the challenges in his life, went on to college, and has been a Financial Analyst with General Dynamics in London for many years. Never giving up, and constantly maintaining a positive laid-back attitude, he was an inspiration to all. Despite his wheelchair, he had become an avid hunter, a world traveler, was a big player and volunteer to Ducks Unlimited, Long Point Waterfowl or the Canadian Paraplegic Association along with other charities where he shared his time, and dedication in many varied ways.
A funeral is scheduled for Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at 11 a.m. at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, 119 Talbot Street East, Aylmer with Visitation on Monday, December 29 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Perry's life. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Ducks Unlimited , Long Point Waterfowl or the Canadian Paraplegic Association. Condolences can be sent to kebbelfuneralhome.com
