Obituary of Ray Woodworth

Ray Woodworth Peacefully at the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Dec. 22, 2014 at the age of 87. Beloved husband of Ruby (Cole). They were blessed with 66 years of marriage and seven children. Dear father of Karen and Stan Jones, Aylmer; Kevin Woodworth, Vienna and his friend Laurel Born Thorpe; Kimberley and John Baker, Guelph; Karmelle and Jim Taylor, Woodstock; Kyle Woodworth and Monty Graham, St. Thomas; Kathryn Woodworth and Peter Jones, Red Deer, Alberta; Kristy and Dan Clarke, Truro, Nova Scotia. Loved Grandpa to Janna and Owen Baigent, Jeffrey Jones, Katrina Jones, Susan and Bernie Garcia, Michael Woodworth, Jason and Christina Clarke, Andrew Clarke and Chantelle Trahan, and Ryan Graham. Also Great Grandpa of Alex and Christine Baigent, Amber and Aiden Jones, Zackary, Samantha and Tiffany Garcia, Ella Trahan. Ray will be missed by his sister Norma Jordan, his in-laws Sylvia and Don Irwin, Ann and James Mathews, Orrie and Joan Cole, and many nieces and nephews. Ray was born Sep. 24, 1927 to the late Earl (1949) and Mabel (1948) Woodworth. Predeceased by grandson Jarrett Jones, daughter-in-law Joanne Woodworth and brother-in-law Bob Jordan. Ray and Ruby farmed for many years on the Woodworth homestead at RR#1 Port Burwell before retiring to Aylmer. Ray was a member of the Aylmer Baptist Church. Visitation is at the H.A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Tuesday, Dec. 23 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral will be held there on Wednesday Dec. 24 at 1:30 p.m. Interment at Aylmer Cemetery.
