Oppel, Alfons Friedrich of Aylmer passed away at his residence on Monday, December 15, 2014 in his 77th year. Born in Marktschorgast Germany on August 24, 1938, son of the late Karl and Lena Oppel. Beloved husband of Martha (Krebs) Oppel. Dear father of Agnes Wiebe and husband Richard of California, Alfred Oppel and wife Elizabeth of Springfield, Monika Vandervalk and husband Tim of Lyons. Loving grandfather of Titus, Warner, Rebekah, Sarah and Lucretia. Brother of Karl (Michael) Oppel. Predeceased by a daughter Benita(1975), grandchildren Julia, Michel and Amos, a brother Paul and a sister Monika. Friends may call at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Tuesday 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held at the Aylmer Christian Reformed Church ( South Street West at Caverly Road) on Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at 1:00 pm.
