I have so many memories of Canada and the wonderful Buchner Family--my Father was raised by the Buchners after arriving from England---God smiled on my Dad from the first day forward and not only through his life but also all of ours--our Canadian Family always treated us with love---Aletha was always so special and lovingly stayed very close with my Mother until she passed a couple of years ago---Aletha was so proud of her Family and you could see it and feel it every time she spoke about them--my Wife Kathy and I were so Blessed to know we are loved by the Buchner Family---if I may I will Always remember whenever I saw Aletha she addressed me as "Dickie" and I will forever have a smile because of that---please know we send our Love and hugs during this difficult time Love Kathy and Dick Fitton-----Gaylord, Michigan

Our thoughts, prayers, and condolences are with Aletha’s family and friends. We were truly blessed having our Canadian “cousins” as part of our Dad’s extended family. We will always remember our annual treks across the border to spend time on the farm and Aletha was a significant part of that wonderful experience. Aletha took time to spend time with our Mother and as a result we are blessed to know Ron and Aletha’s children. I first met Aletha about 60 years ago at Jr. Farmers. Her friendliness, love of music and her wonderful singing voice I'll always remember.
Often the phone would ring and she'd say "It's me." My reply would be "What piece of music are you looking for?
Aletha would come in with her tape recorder and before she left we'd tape several hymns (as long as she found out how to get the tape recorder to work).
If there was a church program that she needed an accompanist I'd get a call.
We'll miss you, Aletha. Thanks for being our friend.

She will be missed. I had the privilege of listening to her lovely singing at Coffee Break when she attended. She always had such wise, common-sense comments about whatever topic was being discussed. Quite the lady! It was a privilege to have met her.
