Barons, Harley Kirk a lifelong resident of Aylmer passed away at Terrace Lodge, Aylmer on Monday, November 10, 2014 in his 91st year. Beloved husband of Blair (Baxter) Barons. Dear father of Kathryn Girard (Denis) of Ottawa, Kirk Barons (Bonnie) of Aylmer, Jean Ross ( John O'Handley) of Grand Bend, Faith Ambridge of Toronto and Jordie Barons of Aylmer. Loved by his grandchildren Nicole(Kevin), Danielle (Danny), Brooke (Colin), Amy (Brent), Jenn (Lorne), Kristen (Bryan), Andrew (Alissa), Cody, Maggie (Rob) and Bronwen. There are 9 great grandchildren. Predeceased by his brother Glenn Barons. Born in Westminster Township, Ontario, April 13, 1924, son of the late Elmer and Nellie (Kirk) Barons. Harley was a member of Trinity Anglican Church. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the Navy on the ships Sheffield and the HMCS Uganda. Harley was a life member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Br# 81, Aylmer and a past president of the Aylmer Optimist Club. He was a retired fuel oil distributor for Supertest and Petro Canada . Friends may call at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Wednesday 2-4 & 7-9 pm. Members of the Royal Canadian Legion, Br # 81 will conduct a memorial service at the funeral home on Thursday November 13 at 11:00 am followed by the funeral service. Internment of cremated remains, Aylmer Cemetery at a later date. Donations to the Legion Poppy Fund would be appreciated.
