Hermsen, Peacefully at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Monday, June 2, 2008. Joanna Hermsen of Springfield in her 91st year. Beloved wife of the late John Hermsen(1998). Dear mother of John T. Hermsen and wife Rita of Springfield, Robert Hermsen and wife Betty of Springfield and Anne Howey and husband Jim of R.R.#4, Aylmer. Loving grandmother to Lisa, Johnny, Mandy, Julie and Connie Hermsen; Larry, Rob and Stephanie Howey. Also survived by brothers Jan and wife Nellie, Toon and wife Bets, Paul, Wim and wife Ria, sisters Net, Jo and husband Hans and a number of nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brothers Gradus, Johan, The and a sister Marie. Born in the Netherlands on July 21, 1917daughter of the late Paul van Os and the late Johanna van Os-Vergeest. Friends may call at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where prayers will be held on Wednesday at 4:00 p.m. The funeral mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Sorrows Roman Catholic Church on Thursday, June 5, 2008 at 11:00 am.
