Obituary of Wilma Clarke

Clarke, at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Tuesday, May 20, 2008. Wilma Elizabeth Clarke of Chateau Gardens, Aylmer and formerly of R.R.#2, Springfield in her 98th year. Beloved wife of the late Charles Clarke(1995). Dear mother of Kenneth & his wife Evelyn of R.R. 2, Springfield, Marjorie Payne & her husband Dr. William of London & Carolyn Clarke of St. Thomas. Grandmother of Kristen Payne of Chatham, Dr. Michael Payne and Sarah Miles of Australia & Andrew Payne of London. Also survived by a number of nieces & nephews. Predeceased by brothers Rev. Ellsworth and LeRoy Toll. Born in Walkerville, Ontario on May 2, 1911 daughter of the late Rev. Sylvester and Maude (Roberts) Toll. She was a member of the Aylmer Baptist Church and the Evertrue Mission Circle. Wilma graduated from Victoria College at the University of Toronto in 1933, the Ontario College of Education and taught at the Ontario Ladies College in Whitby for seven years. She also taught at Springfield Public School. Friends may call at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where the funeral service will be held on Friday, May 23, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. Interment, Aylmer Cemetery. Rev. Dr. Cam Watts, officiating.
