Obituary of Janet Watson

Watson, Janet Ketchen passed away peacefully at her residence, Extendicare, Port Stanley on Sunday, April 13, 2014 in her 97th year. Janet was a resident of York St. in Aylmer since 1963. Predeceased by her sister Margaret Beecroft and her brother Robert M. Watson. Loving aunt to Janet Beecroft of Branftord, David Beecroft of Mississauga and Belgrave, James Beecroft and spouse, Marilyn of Wasaga Beach, Alice Grottoli of Collingwood. Dear great-aunt to Sarah Girard (Ben), Komoka, Jamie Beecroft, Port Hardy, B.C., Andrew Grottoli, Waterloo, Laura Grottoli, Stayner, Adam Grottoli, Stayner. Fondly remembered by Mike Grottoli. She will be sadly missed by her friends and fellow members of St. Paul's United Church and the UCW. Janet was a teacher at East Elgin Secondary School for over 30 years. Born in Tuckersmith Twp. on May 27, 1917, daughter of the late Robert and Janet (Burdge) Watson. Friends may call at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Wednesday 2-4 p.m. The funeral service will be held at St. Paul's United Church, Aylmer on Thursday, April 17, 2014 at 11:00 am. Interment, Bayfield Cemetery.
