Obituary of Wilma Holmes Rasmussen

Holmes Rasmussen, Wilma of St. Thomas passed away at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Saturday, March 1, 2014 in her 66th year. Beloved wife of the late Kai Rasmussen(2005). Dear sister of John and wife Carolyn, Bob and wife Joyce, Donald and wife Linda, Ken, Laura Dohnt and husband Dave. Loving grandmother of Kristen, Brian, Erik, Megen, Brooklen, Madisen, Jillien and great-grandmother of Melikah and Nora. Also survived by 3 step-children and a number of nieces and nephews. Born in St. Thomas on May 24,1948, daughter of the late William Edward and Minnie Gertrude (Evert) Holmes. Good friend of Dawn Desrosiers and husband Rob and Doreen Dentrey. Wilma worked in food services for many years including the St. Thomas Psychiatric Hospital, Alma College and her own business the "Spotlight Restaurant" in London. She was a longtime member of the Thursday Night Ladies Dart League in St. Thomas. Cremation has taken place. A service will be held at H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at 2:00 pm with visitation prior to the service from 12-1:45 p.m..
