My dearest Tav....not a day goes by that I don't think of you and miss that fantastic spirit for life and family. I get on Skype and think that I need to call you but realize that you won't be there to answer. I remember you would yell for Cathy that I was on Skype and the three of us would marvel at how fabulous it was that we could all see each other and talk. Dearest Kathy, Chris, Damion, Kim, Deanna and the grand kids, Sonny and I can't be with you on this very sad anniversary but we want all of you to know how much we miss all of you and of course our TAV. It's really funny but when we sit down with friends that have been in Italy and met your dad we all share TAVIisms...wonderful funny stories of your dad and the really GREAT TIMES we all had with him and Kath! Even at Christmas time we raised a glass to him. At first we thought our life would be so much sadder without him and then we realized that although we were sadder....we were so much richer for having known him and having him in our lives. That these tears I feel when I write about him will pass and my Tavy stories and my Tav will always be in my heart. All of you are so missed by Sonny and I.....remember its HOT out here in California and our arms are always open to all of you! With much love!

Thank you…for sharing with me your excitement to finally have a daughter the night of Chris and my wedding. I felt so loved and have always.

Tav was a loving son, brother, friend, husband, uncle, father and Nonno.
He was brilliant in so many ways. Just like his mom and dad. He was a problem solver, strong with business and finance, but we know he was an engineer at heart, able to build or fix anything he set his mind to.
My earliest memories include him and mom building the barn for our horses brick by brick with the help of our family and neighbours. When the roof of the almost completed barn was ripped off by high winds, neighbours from across the road immediately appeared to help him carry on and salvage what he could. The same neighbours and family have been there for us since our shock on Thursday morning. On behalf of my mom, Damion and I and our families, I want to thank you all for your support.
This community that he and my mom chose to settle down in has given us all so much. And he took an active part in it. From coaching hockey and baseball to his love for golf at Union and curling in St.Thomas, his passion for sports and competitive nature (which we noted especially while playing cards) was infectious for Damion and I and was important in shaping who we are. Sorry to everybody else who had to be his partner or on his team.
He was a man who loved the simple things in life, he did not need a lot to be happy. Good pizza or wine, a walk on the golf course or a drive on his motorcycle. He loved nature... animals from horses to fish, dogs to cats, and trees, gardens, hops he tended to them all with loving care and patience. He took joy from the simple beauty of a sunset over the fields of Ontario or the hills of Tuscany. And as we all know, he loved spending time with his friends and family, always with a great smile and a playful nature.
His projects made him especially happy, building a pond, a golf green, a play house, tiling a floor, renovating the house in Italy, wine making.
And more recently, he took such joy from the grandkids, from chasing them around the house to pillow fights to showing up to Lucas' Halloween party as Darth Vader, he was always a big kid and he loved these times so much.
We love you dad and we'll miss you so much. But we know that you'll be there with us for all of the projects big and small, the great golf shots, the bottles of wine, the sunsets and the epic pillow fights with your grandkids.

I don't think Tav ever really knew how much he was loved and how many lives he touched through-out our world. Grief for our lose is world wide from California to New York to Italy and France.....so many relatives, friends and acquaintances that remember our Tav with love, fondness and wonderful stories of his kindness and generosity of spirit. Our memories start in Toronto...when Tav was the very bright and handsome cousin and continue to Italy....as the extra bright, handsome, productive and fun loving spirit....always ready to share whatever he and Kathy had....always ready to help, and laugh and drink with his Italian friends, cousins, aunts. I can't put into words how sorry we all are for the lose of your husband, son, brother, father and grandfather. Our sorrow spans the world as we will miss him in California....and miss him in Italy. Thank God that we will see our Tav again in the eyes of his beloved sons and grandkids and through the love and kindness of his wife Kathy, brother David and sister Irene. We miss you TAV but heck....we sure had alot of fun and laughs!

Kathy, Mary and I were very saddened to hear the news about Tavy. Our sincerest condolences to you and the family and our prayers are with you during these difficult times. The news brings back memories of the good times we 4 shared in London whether at home or when you and Tavy tried to educate us on the horses. In particular I remember the evening your Dad met Tavy for the first time. The stare down he gave Tavy was something to behold- I would have withered under that stare but not Tavy who was able to laugh that off! Our sincere best wishes and prayers are with you in the days ahead. Being down south we won't be able to attend the services unfortunately otherwise we would have been there.

Tav was a second father to me. He loved to laugh and was very easy to tease. Sarcasm was not lost on Tav. My most cherished thoughts about Tav, though, will always be about the way he was with his grandchildren. How he loved his grandchildren with his entire being. And they loved him right back. The kids were always so excited when 'Mere and Nonno were coming over, or we were going to their place. They loved their tractor rides, racing the lawn mower with the Power Wheels, being chased by Nonno, building forts and snowmen, and so much more. Tav, we love you with all our hearts and we know that you are watching over us and will still be able to see your grandchildren grow up. You'll continue to influence the people they become. Dearest Tavy,
You have been a central part of my life since the day that you met my sister Kathy at Western. I remember visiting her and meeting you. You were so handsome and smart and fun-loving, just like she told me. I can't believe that you are gone so soon. I feel as if I have an arm missing, you were that important to me and my children Melissa, her husband Marc, baby Hunter, Brent and his wife Melanie and of course Brandon. Despite his challenges, you always greeted him with a big smile and you listened to him and gave the kind of advice that was just so thoughtful and caring. You and Kathy always welcomed our family at the Farm in Alymer. My memories of all those dinners and times on the deck just chatting and admiring your beautiful pond that you so carefully created will always bring a warm feeling. The only comfort I have is that you are now with your beautiful father, who we were so was priviledged to meet. What a great man was he. Dearest Kathy, Damion, Deanna, Chris, Kim, Ally, Charlotte, Lucas and Andrew, My deepest sympathies to all you. I'm so sorry for your loss, and I can't believe that the strong and powerful man Tav is, has taken away from you way too soon. Tav will always be remembered by me, the way he and Kathy embraced me as their own child, is something I will never forget. The fun and laughter we shared, the great diners we had and the great stories about Italy where we were going to meet once, are memories which I embrace. Kathy, Tav was one of the guys who always stood out as an all around good guy when I joined the senior men's curling league 2 years ago. He still was when I left for holidays.
