Johnson, Irene of Richmond passed away peacefully at Caressant Care Nursing Home Bonnie Place, St. Thomas on Wednesday, December 25, 2013 in her 91st year. Beloved wife of the late Condon Johnson(1992). Loving mother of the late Cam Johnson(2005). Dear Aunt of Joan Green of St. Thomas and Shelley and John Scott of Richmond. Also survived by a number of great-nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a brother Adam Grant(1952). Born in Markinch Fife, Scotland on June 25, 1923, daughter of the late Adam and Catherine (Barclay) Grant. Irene was a resident of Richmond since 1954 where she and her husband Condon operated a butcher shop for many years. She was a clerk at Laing General Store and later she worked at Imperial Tobacco. Irene cherished her good friends from the Coffee Gang and the Richmond United Church. Friends may call at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Saturday January 4, 2014 from 12:30 until 2 p.m. where the funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm. Cremation has taken place. Interment, Richmond Cemetery.
