Obituary of Stan James

James, Stanley Robert of Terrace Lodge, Aylmer and formerly of Calton passed away at his residence on Tuesday, December 17, 2013 in his 93rd year. Beloved husband of 65 years of Audrey (Buck) James. Dear father of Cheryl James(Jim Edmonds) of Grand Bend, Dean James(Jill) of Grand Bend and Roger James(Cheryl) of RR6, Aylmer. Loving grandfather of Melissa VanPatter(Tim), Ryan VanPatter(Liz), Dereck James(Carrie), Brent, Heather and Lorne James. Great grandfather of Avery, Nathan and Olivia. Also survived by a brother Maurice James(Myna), a sister-in-law Mildred VanHorne and a number of nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a sister Marjorie Lockey. Born in Bayham Township on November 21, 1921, son of the late Lorne and Lilly (Bearss) James. Stan was tobacco farmer north of Calton for many years. He was a member of the Aylmer Baptist Church, the former Calton Baptist Church, the Aylmer Rotary Club and he was Secretary Treasurer of Calton Cemetery for over 40 years. Friends may call at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Friday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where the funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 21, 2013 at 11:00 am. Interment, Calton Cemetery.
