Beloved husband of Dorothy (Sitzer) Stockford. Dear father of Patricia Hoffer and husband Tony of Aylmer, Cheryl Vogel and husband Kurt of Elma New York, James Stockford and wife Carol of Aylmer, and Michael Stockford and wife Wendy of Dorchester. Brother of Ella Woolley of Simcoe. Loved by 11 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Predeceased by a son Thomas and a sister Evangeline Adam. Born in Windham Township, Norfolk County, Ontario on July 25, 1925 son of the late Gilbert and Viola (Allen) Stockford. Stocky was a retired farmer who had worked at Imperial Tobacco and at East Elgin Secondary School as a custodian. He came to Aylmer in 1958 and was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in St.Thomas serving as an elder and head usher, Stocky was a veteran of WW II, a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 81 Aylmer and he loved sports. Friends may call at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Friday 2-4 and 7-9 pm. where funeral service will be held on Saturday March 15, 2008 at 2:00 pm. Interment, Aylmer Cemetery. Rev. Eric Betsch, officiating. Members of the Aylmer Legion will hold a memorial service at the funeral home 6:45 pm Friday.
