Obituary of Bob Heslop

Heslop, Robert John "Bob" of Aylmer passed away at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Sunday, December 1, 2013 in his 92nd year. Beloved husnand of 69 years of Helen (Boyd) Heslop. Dear father of John Heslop (Tina) of Burlington, Susan Remington (William) of Woodstock and Michael Heslop of Aylmer. Loving grandfather of Rebecca(Darryl), Kathryn(Steve), Boyd(Ryanne), Tyler(Helen), Amy, Lisa(Jeff), Cheri(Chris), Richard, Robert(Michelle) and Christopher. Also survived by 10 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by a sister Yula. Born in Toronto on June 18, 1922, son of the late Alfred and Grace (Yule) Heslop. Bob was a buyer at Imperial Tobacco for 45 years. He played Senior Hockey for the Aylmer Trojans in the late 40s and early 50s. Bob coached Aylmer Minor Hockey and enjoyed golf. Bob's greatest pleasure was enjoying the nature in Algonquin Park. He had a passion for canoeing and fishing. He was very proud of the trips he was able to plan with family and friends to enjoy beauty and serenity that only Algonquin Park can offer. Friends may call at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Tuesday 7-9 p.m. where the funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 4, 2013 at 11:00 am. Cremation. Interment, Aylmer Cemetery.
