Obituary of Harry Hewbank

Hewbank, Harry Fennel of Aylmer passed away at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Friday, November 22, 2013 in his 74th year. Beloved husband of Ruth (Shackleton) Hewbank. Dear father of Karyn Honsinger, Nancy Hewbank(Dean Kebbel) and Tim Hewbank(Tracy) all of Aylmer. Loving and proud grandfather of Justin, Jaryd, Sammy, Cadyn and Rhyan. Predeceased by his daughter Kim Hewbank(1979). Son-in-law of Louise Shackleton and the late Don Shackleton. Born in Windsor on April 19, 1940, son of the late Fennel and Isabelle (Hosie) Hewbank. Harry and Ruth owned and operated Hewbank Paint and Wallpaper for many years. Harry was strong supporter of Minor Sports in Aylmer. He was Past President of the Aylmer and Tillsonburg Shrine Clubs and a member of Mocha Shriners, Scottish Rite, Royal Order of Jesters Court 56 and Malahide Masonic Lodge #140. In past years, Harry was very involved with the Aylmer Kinsmen Club and the Aylmer Curling Club. He was Chairman of the Aylmer P.U.C. Friends may call at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Masonic Service Sunday at 6:45 p.m. The funeral service will be held at the funeral Home chapel on Monday, November 25, 2013 at 11:00 am.
