Obituary of John Steenberegen

Steenbergen, Jan "John" of Aylmer passed away at Valleyview Home, St.Thomas on Tuesday, September 24, 2013 in his 81st year. Beloved husband of the late Winnie Steenbergen (2002). Dear father of Don Steenbergen (Nancy),of Aylmer, Ed Steenbergen (Roberta) of Ottawa, Brian Steenbergen of Aylmer Diana Steenbergen of Aylmer, and Nancy White (Larry) of Aylmer. Loved by 12 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Brother of Gerrie Baelde (Wout) , Bep DeHaan and Hennie Handy (Calvin) all of Cornwall. Brother-in-law of Jack and Liz Klooster, and Corrie Klooster. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and best friend Bert DeHaan (Eike). Born in Haarlem ,The Netherlands on May 28, 1933 son of the late Berend and Cornelia (Strankinga) Steenbergen. John came to Canada in 1952 and was a member of the Aylmer Christian Reformed Church. Friends may call at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held at the Aylmer Christian Reformed Church on Friday, September 27, 2013 at 11:00 am . Interment, Aylmer Cemetery.
